Current Volunteer Opportunity:
The Shoe Box Project
We are currently assembling shoe box "gift boxes" to be delivered
to children in the Endicott area. They will be sent home near the end of the school year so the children will have plenty
of summer supplies.
TODAY'S GOAL: 100 BOXES

The items with an asterisk (*) are immediately needed. The completed shoe and boot
boxes will then be ready for delivery.

Click here for ideas about what to write.
5) SHIPPING COSTS
When possible we accept a donation of $5 per box to offset the cost of delivery.
_____________________________________________________
NOTE:
Items should be small enough to fit into a shoe or boot box along with other items. We have plenty of boxes.
Please do not wrap, pack or bundle the items. We prefer them loose so we can inspect them and pack them according to
current needs. Each box will be delivered to a child of the appropriate age.
All items should be in new or "like new" condition. If in doubt, buy a new one to donate.
Please do not donate glass items, food, or violent toys such as monsters, soldiers, weapons or obviously used stuffed
animals. We thank you for your interest but will not accept stained and soiled stuffed animals or dolls.
Larger school items and larger quantities of supplies (including first aid items for the Nurse), WILL be accepted
and delivered to the staff at each school along with the children's boxes.
Monetary donations are not tax deductible at this time. (But judging from our initial success they should be by mid 2007)
